Oasis Ayurveda Hospital: Provides specializes in Panchakarma, the five fold purification therapy animed at restoring the equilibrium of three doshas Vatha, Pitha and Kapha through the process of detoxification of the body. Toxins accumulate in the body as a result of various metabolic activities. It necessary to eliminate these Toxins from the body in order to restore the proper function of its different systems and to stay healthy. This elimination of Toxins is through a process called Panchakarma. The five therapies under Panchakarma are Virechana, Vamana, Vasthi, Nasya abd Rakthamoksha.
Virechana : is a purgative treatment to rid the body of excess bile secretion accumulated in the liver, gall bladde and small intestines that causes biliary vomiting, nausea, jaundice, fever and skin inflammations.
Vamana : Is an emesis treatment done through the oral route to eliminate excess mucus by means of patients suffering from chronic asthma, diabetes, cold, congestion and oedema.
Vasthi : is a herbal enema in which a decoction of oils and medicines is administered through the rectum of evacuation of the bowels. This is a purification treatment that is done for patients suffering from arthritis, hemiplegic, gastric problems and chronic constipation.
Nasyam : is a treatment for certain types of paralysis, headaches, mental disorders etc. In which herbal juices or medicated oils are administrated through the nostrils.
Rakthamoksha: is a process of bloodletting using such methods as leaching ,vein puncturing, needle pricking etc. and is indicated mainly for skin diseases and rheumatic complaints .
Pizhichil : is a process in which lukewarm herbal oil is applied all over the body and rhythmically massaged in to the skin for about 45 min to one hour per day for a period of 7 to 21 days. The regime has been proved effective in the treatment of muscular skeletal diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, osteo arthritis, lumbago, sciatica, hemiplegia, paralysis, sexual debility and nervous disorders.
Sirovasthi : is a treatment process in which lukewarm herbal oils are poured in to a cap fitted on the head for 15 to 60 min’s per day for a period of 7 days for patients suffering from facial palsy, migraine, dryness of mouth, throat and nostrils, insomnia, spondylitis, etc.
Siro Dhara : is a treatment process in which medicated herbal oil is allowed to drip in a continuous stream over the patients for ahead for 30 min’s to 1 hour. It relaxes the nervous system, acts as a soothing balm for the brain and fights insomnia.
Ela Kizhi : is a treatment process in which minced herbal leaves are cooked in medicated oils and bundled into a bolus of muslin cloth, which is heated and patted rhythmically all over the body . This detoxifies the body through sweat and also helps in degenerative joint disorders , rheumatic pain and backache and improve blood circulation.
Njavara kizhi : is a procedure for treating rheumatism , join pain, blood pressure , paralysis, emaciation of limbs and certain types of skin diseases. Rice cooked in medicated milk , along which certain herbal infusions, is bundled into a bolus and applied all over the body.
